Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs.

There are close to 40,000 children and adults living with cystic fibrosis in the United States (and an estimated 105,000 people have been diagnosed with CF across 94 countries), and CF can affect people of every racial and ethnic group. During the 1950s, a child with CF rarely lived long enough to attend elementary school. Today, many people with CF achieving their dreams of attending college, pursuing careers, getting married, and having kids.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation stands at the forefront of global efforts to find a cure for CF, dedicating support to a diverse array of research endeavors aimed at comprehensively addressing the disease.

TEAM BOOMER is the athletic division of the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
We work to encourage people with cystic fibrosis to live active, healthy lifestyles. O
ver 7500 athletes run for our cause, and more than 100 athletes living with cystic fibrosis are on the team. Team Boomer has raised more than $14 million dollars for the Boomer Esiason Foundation and the cystic fibrosis community. We welcome any advocate to join the team to raise funds and awareness for the CF community.

BOOMER ESIASON FOUNDATION supports the CF community in the here and now in a number of ways, including financial aid programs and educational resources, as well as supporting research, CF centers, and lung transplant programs.  TEAM BOOMER is part of that effort, devoted to promoting athletics, activity, and healthful living for those with CF.  Learn more about our programs at www.esiason.org.

Founded in 1999 by a group of 41 survivors, caregivers, and friends, they are now the nation's leading nonprofit dedicated to colorectal cancer. CCA empowers a nation of allies who work to provide genuine support for patients and families, caregivers, and survivors; to raise awareness of preventive measures (such as screening); and inspire efforts to fund critical research. United in the fierce determination to dramatically impact the way society sees this devastating disease, Colorectal Cancer Alliance exists to end colorectal cancer in our lifetime.
