UNM Cancer Treatment & Clinical Research Facility Artwork

Today was another great day and one in which we met an incredibly inspiring lady, Angelica Solares. Angelica is the Sr. Program Manager at UNMC for The Office of Community Outreach & Engagement. The work she and her staff perform for cancer patients is admirable, and I encourage you to read John’s blog here to learn more of her work.

This post is focused on the incredible art work on display at the UNMC facility. It is an eclectic collection of varied mediums and all very beautiful. Appreciation of these works grows exponentially when you learn that this collection is comprised entirely of donated works from people who have either been treated by UNM, or have had family members and/or friends treated by UNM Cancer Treatment Center. Truly gracious gestures by all the artists, appreciated by all who work at the facility, and of course by the patients who inspired the works. The photos below are only a small representation of all the art on display at UNMC, but offer a glimpse of the estimable talent on display. I hope you enjoy as much as we did.
